New Voge SR1 ADV 125 – more interesting for a CrossOver use.

The SR1 ADV 125 reinforces its presence in the displacement that allows driving with a car license, after the debut with the sporty naked 125R, followed by the versatile SR1 scooter that continues to climb positions in the sales ranking.

Exactly, the new SR1 ADV scooter has many points in common with the versatile SR1 city-road, which it is based on, although bringing important changes that make it even more interesting for a CrossOver use, allowing outings off-road on paths and tracks without much difficulty.

The design is once again signed by the brilliant Italian designer Massimo Zaniboni, abandoning the smooth and elegant shapes of the SR1 in favor of a completely new silhouette, with sharp edges that convey a marked aggressiveness. At the front, the narrow rectangular dual-optic headlight stands out in height, following the style of high-displacement sports bikes. Each optic integrates high-intensity LED lights for high and low beams, with luminous guides above the optics in a challenging attitude. It is also at the front where the onboard video camera is located as standard, with which you can immortalize your favorite adventure trips and share them with your friends. The turn signals, also LED technology, are attached to the bike through elastic supports, like in off-road bikes.


Completing the front view of the SR1 ADV, we find a smoked windscreen that can be adjusted to various height positions through two buttons on the left switchgear group.

At the rear, the LED technology light group adopts a luminous signature that reminds us of its ‘older sister’, the Voge SR4 Max, with a wavy luminous guide that increases its intensity when the brakes are activated.

The handlebar fairing is replaced by a component made of variable section tube (thicker in the central area to increase its rigidity) that also resembles those used in trail and enduro motorcycles. Like in those motorcycles, the handlebar is fixed by a bridge that allows it to be adjusted to different positions to adapt to the rider’s ergonomics.

In front of the handlebar, there is a large color screen with much more information than in the SR1. To start with, it has Bluetooth connection with the mobile phone, displaying on the screen the indication of an incoming call along with the respective phone number. In addition, it includes simplified “turn-by-turn” GPS navigation, which indicates the direction to take to reach the destination through arrows and distances, without distracting the user too much. All this is complemented by a tachometer, speedometer with large digits, total and partial odometer, consumption indicator, clock, and graphical levels of fuel and coolant temperature, with the numerical value and overheating warning light.

The riding position allows for two different postures, with the feet supported on either the horizontal or inclined platforms. Between these platforms, on both sides, is the central tunnel, inside of which is the fuel tank with a capacity of 9 liters, one more than in the SR1, providing greater autonomy on “adventurous” trips. The cover through which access is gained to the fuel cap opens by pressing a button located near the ignition switch, controlled by a proximity key that includes a button to locate the scooter and another to immobilize it in case of theft. Next to the fuel cap opening cover is another for opening the seat and accessing the spacious storage compartment with capacity for a full-face helmet and other small objects. The storage capacity is completed with a glove compartment on the left side of the front shield, which includes a fast charging USB power outlet.
The suspensions also adapt to off-road use, with a 31 mm fork with 121 mm travel on this Voge SR1 ADV, compared to the 93 mm of the SR1. At the rear, new oil-pneumatic shock absorbers with a separate gas reservoir are adopted, also increasing their travel to 108 mm. As a result of this increase in suspension travel, the minimum ground clearance increases by 20 mm, for protection against terrain irregularities, without affecting the seat height, which remains at a comfortable 775 mm for any height.

The wheels are of a new design, with 10 narrow arms that imitate spoke wheels, maintaining the same measurements of “medium wheels” of 14 and 13 inches, as well as the tubeless tire section of 110/80 and 130/70, respectively front and rear, although now with a mixed design for road/off-road use. The disc brakes remain in the measurements of 240 and 220 mm, accompanied by floating calipers with double and single pistons, with an independent dual-channel ABS anti-lock system. The ABS modulator also incorporates TCS traction control to prevent rear wheel slippage when accelerating on surfaces with reduced grip.

Its compact long-stroke engine is an evolution of the one that the Voge SR1 debuted, with liquid cooling (side radiator) and a consumption of 2.2 liters/100 km.

The commercialization of this new SR1 ADV started this month of May in two colors, anthracite grey and red, at an exceptional price of €2,987, including 5 years of warranty.
