Mitas Launches New ‘Enduro Trail-XT’ 70% Off-Road Adventure Tire

Fresh from releasing the Enduro Trail XT Plus rubber, Mitas is adding a new member to their Adventure Tire family – the Enduro Trail-XT. Offering a slightly less aggressive tread than the Plus model, Mitas says the new tire is designed for the “most challenging terrain without sacrificing on-road comfort and durability.”

The new tire comes to the market as a rear fitment, meant to be paired with the Mitas Enduro Trail-XT+ front tire. Classified as 70% off-road / 30% on-road, the Enduro Trail-XT has the same longitudinal scoop pattern as the well-known E-10, with a flat profile and an average rear lug depth of 11 mm for optimal off-road performance.

Mitas has not specified what longevity can be expected from the Enduro Trail-XT but, in spite of its off-road focus, the company says the new tire is classified as M+S  (mud and snow tire) with up to T-speed rating (118 mph) and is designed to offer long-lasting durability with easy handling and great stability on tarmac transfer sections.

The Mitas Enduro Trail XT will be released in June 2024 in two different versions: a Standard version using a Heavy Duty compound designed to give the best all round performance in wet or dry conditions; Plus a Dakar version using an Ultra Heavy Duty compound designed for maximum durability with up to 20% more mileage compared to the standard version. According to Mitas, the Dakar version is virtually puncture proof thanks to its reinforced carcass.

Pricing for the standard and Dakar version starts at $159.99 and $179.99 respectively. For more information go to mitas-moto.com.
